  • February 10, 2023

Korea Pro Golf Tour Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Byeong-jun, hereinafter referred to as KGT) is conducting a competitive bidding to select a broadcasting right operator.

Qualifications for participation are companies that have a ‘channel capable of broadcasting golf (terrestrial or cable broadcasting)’ and can freely produce and organize the program by selecting it as the host broadcasting company. A consortium (joint supplier) participation method is also possible.

Companies wishing to participate in the bidding can visit the KPGA secretariat by 3:00 pm on the 21st and submit the necessary documents. The announcement of the results of the first screening (document) will be notified individually on the 22nd.

Afterwards, companies that have passed the first screening will go through the second screening (PT) evaluation on the 27th, and the preferred bidders selected through the screening will be notified individually on the 28th. 토토사이트

The operator finally selected through this bidding will be the host broadcasting company of KGT, and will have the right to broadcast competitions and events hosted and supervised by the Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) and KGT.

Prior to this, KGT negotiated with JTBC Golf Channel, the existing host broadcasting company, but failed to reach a final agreement due to disagreements over broadcasting rights fees.

Details and schedule regarding the bidding for the selection of broadcasting rights operators can be found on the notice on the KPGA official website.
