The Doosan Bears have won six straight games.

Doosan Bears won 6-3 on Sunday against the KIA Tigers at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju. Tied for fifth place with SSG Landers, Doosan improved to 63 wins (1 tie, 57 losses) on the season, knocking the fourth-place KIA Tigers (60 wins, 2 ties, 56 losses) down the standings. At the same time, SSG’s loss in the first game of a doubleheader between the SSG Landers and LG Twins at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul moved Doosan into fourth place.

Doosan started Jung Soo-bin (center field), Kim Jae-ho (shortstop), Yang Seok-hwan (first base), Yang Ji (catcher), Jose Rojas (left field), Kang Seung-ho (second base), Heo Kyung-min (third base), Park Jun-young (designated hitter), and Cho Su-hyun (right field).

Doosan starter Raul Alcantara allowed three runs on eight hits and one walk with five strikeouts in six innings. Alcantara improved to 13-6 on the season.

Yang Seok-hwan and Kang Seung-ho paced the Doosan offense with three hits apiece. Kang Seung-ho and Park Joon-young also hit home runs in the win.

After the game, Doosan head coach Lee Seung-yeop said, “The batting lineup played evenly and showed a cohesive performance.
