Richards ⅔ inning collapse in the 8th with 5 runs

Moon Dae-hyun Reporter = Hyun-jin Ryu’s Major League Baseball (MLB) Toronto Blue Jays saw their winning streak snapped by the Baltimore Orioles.

Toronto fell to 0-7 against the 2023 MLB Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S., on Thursday (June 24).

With the loss, which ended a three-game winning streak, Toronto fell to 70-57. They remained in third place in the American League (AL) East.

Baltimore, on the other hand, avenged its loss to Toronto the day before and remained in first place in the East (78-48).

Toronto starter Kevin Gausman did his part with six innings of five-hit ball (one homer), eight strikeouts, one walk and two runs, but the offense was silent as he suffered his eighth loss of the season (nine wins).

Baltimore got a solid outing from starter Dean Kremer, who pitched six innings of five-hit, five-strikeout ball to improve to 12-5 on the season.온라인바카

Toronto took the lead in the third inning when Ryan Mountcastle singled with the bases loaded. In the fifth, Anthony Santander gave up a leadoff solo home run to make it 2-0.

Meanwhile, the Toronto bats were stymied by the Baltimore mound, unable to gain any momentum.

In the bottom of the eighth, Trevor Richard was pulled for five runs in ⅔ of an inning, and Toronto lost the game.
