Gumi City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, announced today that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Volleyball Federation to host a professional volleyball tournament at the city hall conference room.

Gumi Vice Mayor Kim Hoseop, Gumi City Council Chairman Ahn Joo-chan, Gumi City Sports Chairman Yoon Sang-hoon, Gumi City Volleyball Association President Kim Jin-hwan, and Korea Volleyball Federation Secretary General Shin Moo-cheol attended the signing ceremony.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will work together to attract and successfully host the 2023 Gumi Dodram Cup Professional Volleyball Tournament, which will be held from July 29 to August 13 at the Gumi Park Jung-hee Gymnasium.

Sixteen teams, including 14 domestic men’s and women’s teams and two invited overseas teams, will compete.메이저사이트

“Gumi has been home to the KB Insurance Stars volleyball team for 12 years,” said Gumi Deputy Mayor Kim Hoseop, “and has hosted the LG Housewives’ Volleyball Tournament for the 29th time since 1993.”

By hosting the Dodram Cup Professional Volleyball Tournament for the first time in the Gyeongbuk region, we expect to quench the thirst for professional volleyball in the city and provide good attractions and entertainment during the summer vacation.”

The city expects more than 40,000 visitors to visit the stadium during the tournament.
