Argentina ‘wins all three games’-USA advances to round of 16 with ‘3G shutout’
Argentina and the United States have advanced to the round of 16 at the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2023 after topping their respective groups.
Argentina cruised to a 5-0 victory over New Zealand in the final Group A match of the tournament at San Juan Stadium on Sunday (June 27). They scored three goals in the first half and added two more in the second.

The Americans continued their “clean sheet” streak, defeating Ecuador (1-0) in the first game and Fiji (3-0) in the second. The top-ranked U.S. will play a round of 16 matchup against one of the top three teams from Groups A, C, and D.
Ecuador is second in Group B with six points after a 9-0 win over Fiji. Slovakia finished third with three points.
